Under the premise that carbon emissions have become a key strategic issue of global concern, China has proposed a national plan of 30-60 dual carbon targets. In the October 2021, the State Council of China officially released the carbon peak and carbon neutral work plan. Among them, the economic system of green and low-carbon circular development is an important development goal. Germany is continually supporting the development of green and low-carbon circular economy. In between, Baden-Württemberg is vigorously promoting the R&D of green technologies for circular economy.
Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) together with Umwelttechnik BW, the State Agency for Environmental Technology and Resource Efficiency Baden-Württemberg (UTBW), have started the Transnational Competence Center for Environmental Technology and Research Jiangsu Baden-Württemberg (TRENT).This project is funded by the Ministry of the Environment, Climate Protection and Energy Sector of Baden-Württemberg. In addition, the office of Baden-Württemberg International in Nanjing (BW_i Nanjing) and Global Advanced Manufacturing Institute (GAMI) in Suzhou are vigorously supporting the preparation of the center in Jiangsu.
TRENT aims to permanently, systematically and structurally bundle existing competences and technologies in environmental sciences from Jiangsu and Baden-Württemberg and provide a platform for exchange and communication between universities and research institutions, public authorities and private enterprises in these two regions. Therefore, TRENT will hold a series of events to promote exchanges and collaboration of mutual interest.
At present, in the field of circular economy,whether in terms of scientific research results or industrial production, the world is in the stage of exploration and early development. The recycling and reuse of plastic waste, the harmless treatment and utilization of used batteries, the system design of green buildings, the use of renewable energy and the upgrading and transformation of the energy system, etc, are all environmental challenges and require international cooperation. Baden-Württemberg and Jiangsu Province, as sister provinces and states partners for more than 30 years, have been working together on sustainable economic development. In order to promote more exchanges and cooperation between Jiangsu Province and Baden-Württemberg in the field of circular economy, TRENT team is planning this workshop. We will invite experts from industrial production processes to come together to discuss the possible future development of green and low-carbon concepts and technologies in the economic field, as well as potential cooperation directions between Germany and China.

在碳排放已然成為全球關注的重點戰略問題的前提下，中國提出了3060的宏偉國家計劃。在剛剛過去的10月份，中國國務院正式發布了碳達峰碳中和工作方案，其中，綠色低碳循環發展的經濟體系是重要的發展目標。德國是最早支持并在持續開發綠色低碳發展的國家之一，其中巴登符騰堡州更是大力推廣循環經濟的綠色環保技術的研發和應用。
在德國巴登符騰堡州環境、氣候和能源部的支持下，卡爾斯魯厄理工學院（KIT）攜巴登符騰堡州環境技術和資源效率局（UTBW）共同籌建了江蘇省-巴符州環境技術和研究跨國能力中心項目（簡稱碳達TRENT）。此外，德國巴符州國際經濟和科技合作協會南京代表處與GAMI全球先進制造研究所也在江蘇省內大力支持中心的籌建工作。碳達項目將有效地整合江蘇省和巴登符騰堡州環境科學領域的現有能力和技術，為兩省州的高校、科研院所、公共部門和企業提供一個交流與溝通的平臺。為此，碳達項目將舉辦一系列活動來促進雙方在共同感興趣領域的交流與合作。
目前，在綠色低碳循環經濟發展領域，無論是在科研成果，還是工業生產方面，全球都處于探索和早期發展階段。塑料廢棄物的回收再利用，廢舊電池的無害處理利用，綠色建筑的系統設計，以及可再生能源的使用以及并入能源體系的升級改造過程，這些作為人類共同面對的環境挑戰，需要國際間的合作來共同解決。巴符州和江蘇省作為30年友好省州伙伴，一直在經濟的可持續發展方面攜手合作。為促進江蘇省和巴登符騰堡州在綠色低碳循環經濟領域更多的交流與合作，TRENT團隊籌劃本次研討會，邀請來自工業生產過程的專家相聚在一起，共同探討中德在循環經濟的領域里可能的綠色低碳的概念和技術的未來發展，以及潛在的合作方向。

GAMI - the Global Advanced Manufacturing Institute was established in China in 2008 by wbk Institute of Production Science of the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT). KIT is one of the first technical universities in Germany and has since become a high-quality education and research institute. It is especially strong in natural sciences and engineering – even on an international scale.
With our university background we can provide our partners with advanced methods and concepts to reach operational excellence. Our goal is to deliver individual strategies and smart solutions in Production Management, Supply Chain Management, Quality Management, Logistics Management as well as Smart Manufacturing in order to create a long-term and sustainable benefit for our clients by means of research, consulting programs and training topics. Meantime, our Smart Manufacturing Labs serve as high-level learning factory and training facilities as well as incubator for Sino-German innovation programs related to Smart Manufacturing.
